Kiks Adi Family is a cedar bent wood box I made for my Tlingit wife's Kiks Adi (Frog Clan, Raven House matrilineal lineage). The lareg frog represents my Tlingit wife, and the four small frogs represent our children, who follow their mother's lineage in the Tlingit matrilineal society. I am Seneca, and we are also matrilineal.
I designed this sun symbol design for the original National Museum of the American Indian Identity package. I served as a consultant with other creative people on the development of the NMAI identity package. The hands in the graphic design are my hands. The design intends to show contemporary and living Indigenous cultural and artistic tradition.
Age of Audio Technology in Tonawanda was created as a cover for the report I completed for a grant I received. The grant was for transferring archival recording of cultural music to digital format. The digital format renders cassette and CD audio technology somewhat obsolete. My intent is to create a traditional Seneca or Haudenosaunee beadwork pattern here with the Cassettes and CD's.
Hearts Chair is a chair I painted for an art auction fund raiser for the West Sound Arts Council which I am a member of.
